Location, Location, Location

Situated near Miracle Hill and in the destination spa resort area of Desert Edge, the Last Resort is located on scenic Dillon Road.  The Last Resort has 360 degree views of mountain ranges and is located on the San Andreas fault - a great place for nature lovers, natural scientists and photographers.  The Palm Springs Tram can be seen from the property going up and down Mt. San Jacinto at night. Dark skies highlight an abundance of stars or the moon lights up the night casting shadows – excellent location for meteor shower and other stellar events.

Conveniently located 15 minutes in any direction to Interstate 10 and highways with shopping, dining, entertainment, museums, theatres and so on, in the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley.  Idylwild, Joshua Tree National Park, Anza Borrego State Park and Salton Sea are within an hour drive.

Attractions

Mt. San Jacinto, the Palm Springs Tram and Windmill farms can be seen to the south and west and provide beautiful backdrops for landscape photography. Wildlife on the property is abundant from seasonally migrating birds to local mallards and roadrunners, lizards and desert iguanas, and several species of snake, mostly nonaggressive – such as the Rosie Boa and Sand Snake. Of course, there are rattlers and sidewinders too, but you are less likely to see these.

Day Spas

Known for its hot mineral pools and spas, spa treatment facilities are in abundance and within walking distance or a short drive.  Massage and spa treatments can be booked in advance at We Care, Two Bunch Palms and other nearby Day Spas in Desert Hot Springs.  Please visit the Coachella Valley Visitor's Center or Desert Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce web sites for more information about local spa amenities.  Or call us for a recommendation!

Golfing

Several golf courses are open to the public - within walking distance or on Palm Drive (The Sands). Across the Coachella Valley several private clubs have opened their doors to the public and you can find these online as well.
